Bandmaster John Lam was privileged to join colleagues Steve Butterworth (back row, left) and Canadian icon Howard Cable (front, centre) in adjudicating the 'March Madness' composition competition that was hosted by the Weston Silver Band conducted by Larry Shields. Compositions by Ty Watson (3rd place), Marcus Venables (2nd place), and Peter Boris Koval (1st place) rounded out an enjoyable program of marches artfully played by Weston Silver Band. The concert was held on Saturday March 5th at the CBC's Glenn Gould Studio.
